The team was started by a small number of drinkers from a certain members social club in Torquay.

When they saw some of the events in the Olympics, they thought they would try to enter for Britian, but Unfortunatly they were somewhat confused over some of the events. They didn't realise that the Three Day Event was for horses, Mixed Doubles was tennis and thought they saw Sincronised Swigging instead of swimming.

This was not to deter them and so the team grew, gathering more members (from the social club) and branching out nationwide looking for able drinkers to join, train and campaign for new drinking events in the next Olympics.
